The Alumni Relations Manager plays a vital role in fostering meaningful and lasting connections between the institution and its alumni community. This strategic and relationship-driven role is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating programs and initiatives that enhance alumni involvement, support institutional goals, and promote a culture of lifelong engagement and giving. The Department of Alumni Relations at CUNY School of Law invites applications for the Alumni Relations Manager position. Reporting to the Director of Alumni Relations, the Alumni Relations Manager will work closely with the Alumni Relations team. We seek an experienced and creative professional to plan and oversee the implementation of a comprehensive program of activities with the alumni community of over 5,000 CUNY School of Law alumni worldwide. The Alumni Relations Manager will foster engagement opportunities through event programming and initiatives with the alumni community by building relationships and engagement with new alums and strengthening relationships with existing alums. This position will lead special events and outreach efforts supporting community-building, including events, volunteer engagement, and regular effective communication,and ensuring outreach is aligned and integrated. This role manages alumni affinity groups and creates engagementfor alums domestically and internationally. This position works closely with the faculty, staff, and departments and participates in numerous collaborative activities with colleagues in student affairs, career planning, development, and communications/marketing. Manage an alumni mentoring program, alumni initiatives, and the CommunityLegal Resources Network (CLRN) as assigned.
The Alumni Relations Manager is responsible for working with the Director of Alumni Relations to develop and oversee a mentoring program. This position serves as a partner in creating the Alumni Magazine, e-newsletter, overseeing social media platforms with the communications and marketing department. In addition, the Alumni Relations Manager also supervises student interns or staff as needed.
The position may require evening and weekend duties.
Like other staff in the Law School, you are subject to the same in-person requirements, which entail a minimum of 80% in-person on-campus presence over two weeks. This requirement for in-person work may be higher than 80% based on departmental and divisional needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree and six years' related experience required.

Manages College's alumni relations activities and promotes an active and engaged alumni base.
Implements and monitors comprehensive alumni relations program; makes recommendations to improve department policies and procedures
Participates in developing strategy; oversees programmatic and administrative support to increase involvement among alumni
Develops and manages an annual schedule of reunion events and other alumni activities; oversees alumni communications
Works collaboratively with other areas of the College to promote and improve alumni participation
Prepares reports and presentations evaluating outcomes of department events and activities
Cultivates and maintains relationships with alumni donors and volunteers
Supervises office operations; administers department and/or events budget(s)
May manage professional and/or clerical staff
Performs related duties as assigned.
