As a Software Cloud Architect supporting our program in Annapolis Junction, MD , you will:
Develop a deep understanding of our IT infrastructure while identifying opportunities for improvement.
Streamline workflows and deliver inventive technical solutions that maximize efficiency.
Engage with stakeholders to communicate development progress, technical strategies, and costs.
Drive process optimization across the organization with scalable, forward-thinking solutions.
Continuously evaluate existing and emerging technologies to keep our systems mission-ready.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you'll:
Collaborate with your team to design and optimize innovative cloud-based solutions that improve performance, scalability, and data processing across mission-critical systems.
Lead cloud initiatives by leveraging AWS to ensure scalability, availability, and reliability.
Optimize applications for rapid release cycles while ensuring system stability.
Support DevSecOps integration within Agile Kanban teams.
Uphold Zero Trust security principles and federal IT security compliance standards.
Provide detailed guidance and maintain up-to-date documentation of system architecture.
Conduct periodic audits of infrastructure and architecture to ensure accuracy and readiness.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or a related technical discipline, plus 5-8 years of application design and development experience.
Minimum of 1 year of experience with AWS: EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, VPC.
Experience with DevOps CI/CD utilizing technologies such as GitLab, TerraForm.
Experience in implementing cloud solutions
Understanding of Object-Oriented design methodologies and design patterns
Experience with containerization desired (ex: Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with Linux (Red Hat and CentOS)

The likely salary range for this position is $148,750 - $201,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
