Robert Half Legal is proud to partner with a respected midsize defense firm in Century City that is seeking a skilled Litigation Legal Secretary to join their dynamic team. This opportunity is ideal for professionals looking for hybrid workplace flexibility and the potential for a long-term role through a contract-to-hire arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys specializing in litigation.
Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, motions, and correspondence.
File and e-file legal documents with state and federal courts, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
Maintain and organize case files, calendaring deadlines, and managing attorney schedules.
Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other third parties professionally and efficiently.
Coordinate and assist with all aspects of trial preparation, including the organization of exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
Facilitate billing processes, including tracking attorney time entries and expense reporting.
Perform additional administrative tasks as needed to support the litigation team effectively.
Requirements
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Litigation Legal Secretary.
Proficiency in handling calendaring, e-filing, and other litigation-specific functions.
Strong understanding of legal terminology, court rules, and procedures in both state and federal courts.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, legal software (e.g., iManage, NetDocuments), and court e-filing platforms.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
