Purpose: We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead to drive and lead performance improvement initiatives in our medical device manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing process enhancements, optimizing production efficiency, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of continuous improvement to deliver high-quality medical devices efficiently and reliably.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

Lead, inspire, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers focused on performance excellence and continuous improvement.

Identify, analyze, and implement process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.

Drive performance metrics such as cycle time, yield, throughput, and defect rates through Lean, Six Sigma, and other standard methodologies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies for process optimization and automation.

Lead root cause analysis and CAPA activities to resolve manufacturing issues swiftly and prevent recurrence.

Support validation activities, including process validation, equipment qualification, and design transfer, ensuring compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and other standards.

Develop and maintain documentation for process changes, validations, and performance improvements.

Supervise KPIs and use data-driven insights to prioritize and implement targeted performance improvement projects.

Develop a culture of innovation, proactive problem solving, and continuous learning within the team.

Lead initiatives to optimize resource utilization, reduce costs, and improve overall manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering

Proven experience (+5 years) of manufacturing engineering experience in the medical device industry, with a focus on process improvement.

Experience working at medical device industry or pharmaceutical, preferred.

Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other performance optimization methodologies.

Deep knowledge of medical device regulatory requirements (FDA QSR, ISO 13485, EU MDR).

Experience with process validation, automation, and risk management.

Proficiency with CAD, MES, ERP systems, and automation tools.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
