Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland, within the insurance industry. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for long-term growth and stability. The ideal candidate will bring analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing complex accounts receivable processes.

Responsibilities:

Process incoming payments from multiple sources, ensuring accurate allocation across various benefit plans.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payment applications with a keen eye for detail.

Perform bank reconciliations and assist with credit card reconciliation processes.

Collaborate with team members to streamline billing functions and cash activity.

Utilize accounting software, including Excel, to maintain and analyze financial data.

Support general bookkeeping tasks and assist with other accounting duties as needed.

Contribute to the training and development of entry-level team members to enhance department efficiency.

Maintain timely and accurate records while adhering to established financial procedures.

Work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure seamless integration within the team.

Participate in transitioning to new accounting systems and adapt to updated processes. Requirements

Minimum of 2-5 years of accounting experience with a strong focus on accounts receivable.

Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and handling credit card reconciliation tasks.

Advanced knowledge of Excel and familiarity with accounting software.

Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve discrepancies independently.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial processes.

Ability to work onsite, with potential for one remote day per week once fully trained.

Proven track record of career growth and stability without frequent job changes.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a sense of urgency in completing tasks.
