Summary You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT/ PLCYPLN) in the COMMAND INFORMATION OFFICE of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC. Responsibilities You will manage information technology (IT) capacity to satisfy future infrastructure requirements. You will conduct trend analyses to identify areas where customer information technology (IT) training and assistance are required. You will respond to a customer request for network services to maintain steady network operations. You will perform life cycle maintenance planning and analysis of information technology (IT) systems for optimal performance. You will analyze information technology (IT) policy and planning issues to resolve problems. You will evaluate information technology (IT) systems project requirements to schedule or sequence work operations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: PERFORM A RISK ANALYSIS OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) SYSTEMS TO IDENTIFY PROBLEMS AND RECOMMEND SOLUTIONS In addition to having experience demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serves as NAVFAC MIDLANT's source relative to the interpretation of MACs and the execution process. Identifies and resolves issues relative to service delivery through negotiations with the NGEN contractor, program office. If not resolved, escalates issues to the appropriate NAVFAC CTR for further negotiation. Remains engaged until resolution is reached; 2) Develops, coordinates, and executes the required actions for IT projects; reviews plans and specifications for analysis and justification of requirements, cost estimates and implementation dates; consideration of supporting requirements such as scheduling deliveries, availability of installation and test personnel, site preparation, and similar concerns; 3)Ensures that IT automated system design and developments, involving both in-house and contractual efforts, and leads others in system changes and modifications to ensure the development of related system security policies and measures; 4) Presents training and assistance to customers. Reports, responds to, and resolves customer requests. Provides assistance to customers.
