At LP Gas Commission, our mission is to promulgate and enforce rules that will allow for the safest possible distribution, handling and usage of liquefied petroleum gas and anhydrous ammonia necessary for the protection, safety and security of the public.
We're looking for an Administrative Coordinator 4to serve as the first point of contact at the agency, creating a welcoming environment for Dealers and visitors and providing administrative support that keeps our front office running smoothly.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Serves as primary support assistant to the Executive Director and Executive Staff Officer.
Serves as a liaison and or contact person for the department or office between other departments, customers, vendors, and agencies.
Attends all Liquefied Petroleum Gas Commission meetings, composes and confirms meeting dates and times, collects data each month, records, transcribes, and edits the minutes, administrative hearings, and prepares the final transcript. Incumbent fulfils the directives of the Executive Director, Executive Staff Officer, and Commission.
Prepares Finding of Facts and Conclusion of Law after each Liquefied Petroleum Gas Commission board meeting.
Evaluates, notifies, and enters into the database penalties assessed by the Commission.
Prints, verifies, and mails out permit renewal notices for each permit cycle, along with a letter instructing dealers how to complete the forms.
Receives, evaluates, and forwards new applications and name change requests received by the office prior to processing.
Updates pending applications to approved following the Commission meeting.
Monitors budget expenditure reports and advises the Executive Director of the Market Development Fund contract(s) status.
Prepares and processes contracts and invoices for payment.
Monitors and manages budgetary and programmatic aspects of Market Development Fund contract agreements, assuring compliance with requirements and deliverables.
Performs other duties as required by the Executive Director and/or Executive Staff Officer.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type:Promotional opportunity for permanent DPS employees only.
Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. The bi-weekly rate for this position is as follows:
