Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Norfolk Naval Shipyard Detachment of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices. You will analyze and recommend cost and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organizations programs and administrative operations. You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing or advising on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration such as formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities, review and evaluate budget reports, control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures. Experience applying budgetary polices, precedents, procedures, and regulations to daily tasks. Experience applying extensive knowledge of administrative and financial management systems. Experience utilizing skillsets of analyzing budgetary problems, costs, benefits and development of alternative solutions. Experience implementing legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.
