POSITION: Sales Manager

Summary:
ASM, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Sales Manager at ASM New Orleans. This position oversees the sales department to drive private event, suite and premium sales inventory for Caesars Superdome, Smoothie King Center, Champions Square and Shrine on Airline.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform all sales related functions including but not limited to account solicitation in the local, state, regional and national markets
Aggressively seeks new leads with the private and convention sales industry
Generate new sales leads and establish new bookings
Respond to all incoming sales leads, including Convention Calendar leads as assigned
Create customized rental proposals for all spaces within the complex
Follow up on proposals/leads
Maintain relationships with existing clients
Maintain accurate holds and client information in booking system: INFOR
Handle all client pre-event correspondence and meetings prior to turning the event over to the Event Services Department and/or Food & Beverage provider.
Maintain regular check-ins with the Event Coordinator, Caterer and Client after hand-off.
Responsible for all pre-event internal communication and submission of necessary documentation to various internal departments throughout the sales/booking process.
Initiate license agreements for all private event definite bookings and proof prior to circulation for signatures.
Ensure the client is satisfied with all levels of service to achieve return business
Collaborate on efforts in creating strategies to increase private event sales.
Provide regular reports on confirmed sales and potential business opportunities.
Serves as a liaison with New Orleans & Company, the Convention Center, and hotels in the community.
Represent ASM at appropriate industry conferences and community events.
Assist GM to create a sales plan and goals for the sales staff for event suites, premium inventory, and private events.
Maintains, at all times, high standards, positive attitude, and professional appearance.
Other duties as assigned.
Promote venue at local and regional tradeshows / networking events.
Submit requests for Event Coordinators to work up estimated staffing costs
Prepare and distribute Event Sheets for confirmed events and make revisions as necessary
Work as needed with Event Coordinators for a smooth transition of accounts
Conduct and assist in-site visits with prospective clients
Prepare site visit packets, coordinate customized boards with production, and create customer presentations as applicable
Work events as assigned
Create thank you letters and follow up with clients at the conclusion of each event to remind them to fill out the Insight Survey
Complete Client Information Sheets for definite bookings for creation of License Agreements
Initiate License Agreements for definite bookings and proof prior to circulation for signatures
Participate in hospitality-related events and associations to promote facilities
Share in the responsibilities of coordinating and executing company hosted events

Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related work experience (Hospitality Management, Venue Sales, Customer Service, or related field)
The ideal candidate would have a minimum of two (2) years' of sales experience, preferably in the hospitality industry
Sales/Guest Service/Customer Service experience (face to face interaction)
Knowledge in MS Windows apps (Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Adobe Suite experience a plus
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must possess a valid United States Driver's License at time of appointment and throughout employment
