The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) is a senior leader responsible for setting the strategic vision and direction for the bank's marketing function. This role oversees a team who lead brand marketing, marketing analytics, creative services, and marketing operations. The CMO ensures that all marketing efforts-across web, video, print, digital design, and other channels-are aligned with the bank's growth objectives and regulatory standards. The CMO will guide the evolution of the bank's market presence, customer engagement, and brand equity through strategic leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field or equivalent experience/coursework may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in marketing leadership roles, preferably within the financial services or banking industry.
Proven experience in strategic marketing leadership within a regulated, compliance-driven environment.
Demonstrated success in managing senior marketing leaders and overseeing multi-channel marketing strategies.
Skills and Abilities:
Strategic and visionary leadership with the ability to translate business goals into comprehensive marketing strategies. Ability to apply unique and emerging marketing strategies to traditional products and services.
Thorough knowledge of marketing principles, brand, product and service management, sales and business development; along with a demonstrated track record of success and performance. With a deep understanding across all channels: print, TV, digital, social media, and emerging platforms.
Multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing your focus on most impactful activities to meet deadlines.
Ability to motivate, influence and collaborate at all levels, internally and externally.
Ability to lead through influence, fostering collaboration across departments and teams. Team builder, coaching and mentoring to achieve results.
Expertise in managing all aspects of marketing planning, budgeting, metrics and reporting including meeting with each business line to ensure marketing plans are in sync with growth and profitability goals
Proficiency in marketing technologies, CRM platforms, and performance measurement tools.
Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in the banking industry.

30% - Strategic Marketing Leadership & Vision: Define and communicate the bank's marketing strategy across all channels. Align marketing goals with corporate objectives and long-term growth plans.
20% - Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with leadership at all levels to ensure marketing initiatives support enterprise-wide priorities. Present strategic plans and performance updates.

10% - Regulatory & Compliance Alignment: Ensure all marketing strategies and activities adhere to banking regulations and compliance standards. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams as needed.
