The High Pressure Compressor design team is seeking a mechanical/aerospace design engineer to do technical design work for the Gear Turbo Fan engine family. A background in commercial and military Low and/or High Pressure Compressors design is desired. If you have relevant design background or experience in these areas and possess the skills and motivation to bring new ideas into practice, we would like to like to hear from you.
What You Will Do
Support part designs or re-designs to achieve required improvements
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary Integrated Product Teams, discipline chiefs and subject matter experts to ensure design readiness
Participate in root cause investigations and ensure robust product and process corrective actions are implemented
Support engineering related efforts to meet shop and supplier MRP requirements.
Evaluate hardware non-conformances originating at OEM and provide recommendations for action to Manufacturers.
Provide interpretation of blueprints based on GD&T principles.
Aid in management of fielded hardware safety and sustainment challenges.
Candidates must have exceptional problem solving and communication skills. Interaction with internal and external customers is expected. Communication skills and assertiveness are key qualities to possess.
What You Will Learn
This position is a part of our Engineering Development Program (EDP). EDP participants will complete three to four rotations to build technical breadth and leadership abilities before graduating from the program.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a related field
Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience working in the Aerospace Industry within the design and/or manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience in MS Office, SAP, Teamcenter, Unigraphics, Ansys, and classical methods of analysis.
Experience with hardware, blueprints, and manufacturing methods.
Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas
Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
