The Aero Thermal Fluids (ATF) organization is responsible for the functional aerodynamic design, analysis and performance of components and modules throughout Pratt & Whitney commercial and military engine product lines.
The Aero Propulsion Systems teams are part of the ATF organization focused on the aerodynamic design and analysis of high-performance military exhaust systems, including bypass duct and nozzle aerodynamics, augmentor combustion, and exhaust system cooling design, as well as propulsion system acoustics and aeromechanics, and commercial engine inlet / nacelle aerodynamics.
We are seeking motivated college graduates with strong technical, problem solving, and communication skills to join our team and be part of continuing Pratt & Whitney's industry leadership in current and next generation military propulsion systems.
What You Will Do
Perform aerodynamics, acoustics, and/or thermal analyses in support of aircraft engine and technology development
Process analytical and rig / engine test data to inform design decisions and root cause analyses
Coordinate analyses, review with subject matter experts, and communicate results as part of a cross-discipline team
Work is full time, onsite on the Pratt & Whitney East Hartford campus
10% travel
What You Will Learn
This position is a part of our Engineering Development Program (EDP). EDP participants will complete three to four rotations to build technical breadth and leadership abilities before graduating from the program.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, or related STEM field
Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0
Qualifications We Prefer
Cumulative GPA of 3.5
Modeling, analysis and meshing experience (Fluent, Star-CCM, CharLES, PowerFlow, etc)
Flowpath lofting and CAD experience
ANSYS / FEA experience
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
