Occasional evening hours may be needed based on scheduled college events
Salary Range: Hourly from $28.26 to $41.43; Annually from $59,007 to $86,506
Salary placement is dependent on education and experience

ABOUT THE POSITION
The primary purpose of the Student Services Training Specialist and Division Assessment Coordinator position is to design and deliver training and provide front line counseling, superior customer service and support, and holistic problem resolution in the areas of registration, financial aid, student accounts and general student inquiries and for other Student Services employees to perform same duties.
This position will provide training design and delivery for information and service relative to policies, processes and procedures to prospective and current students, parents and other visitors, and perform other duties as assigned. The position is expected to troubleshoot student issues and train other Student Services staff how to resolve complex issues that may cross over several departments. This position is expected to go beyond just simply answering the question a student may ask and instead instruct and prepare others with training on how to review records and issues in a holistic manner and resolve or provide guidance on multiple issues. This position provides essential feedback and recommendations regarding ongoing process management and improvement of the Student Services department.
As a team lead, this position will lead team members in the ongoing process of analyzing and assessing student services workflow and tiers. The team lead will also provide facilitation and coordination in the identification of new and expanding services to continuously improve processes, communication and coordination among Student Services, Financial Aid, Student Financial Services, Registrar's Office and many other functional areas. In addition, they will meet with individual Student Affairs Directors to review the assessment sections of departments' annual work plans, identifying strengths and components to be improved. Monitor each department's execution timeline and intervene as required, including providing support and keeping division Dean's apprised of progress.
This position will actively advance the college's strategic goals, including to achieve equity in educational outcomes and to support a culturally responsive and service-oriented culture, through individual and departmental efforts. Minimum Qualifications
These qualifications are required to move forward; as such, ( ensure your application contains descriptions of your education and work experience sufficient to demonstrate competency in each of the following ):
Two (2) years of full-time experience working in higher education; A Bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for 12 months; An Associate's degree in a related field may be substituted for 6 months of experience.
Familiarity with various training aids and tools used in classroom and design of online training delivery
Experience developing and conducting training
One (1) year of customer services experience and a clear understanding of customer service standards and the ability to deliver high levels of customer service;
Ability to manage data using a variety of computer applications
Preferred Qualification
· Three (3) or more years of professional experience in higher education; 2 or more in the functional areas of Student Services - i.e. Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Financial Services, Records, etc.
· Master's Degree in Student Affairs Administration or related field;
· Ability to write and speak multiple languages;
