Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Belcamp, Maryland. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in managing high-volume invoice processing, vendor accounts, and expense reporting. Responsibilities:

Process and enter incoming invoices into the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Obtain necessary approvals for payments and execute weekly payment runs, including checks and ACH transfers.

Manage expense reporting by processing submissions, verifying receipts, and securing proper authorizations.

Set up new vendors in the system and ensure compliance with company policies.

Match invoices with purchase orders to maintain accurate financial records.

Assist in year-end audit preparation by compiling reports and payment documentation.

Handle annual Form 1099 processing and expense report downloads.

Create internal orders to support the company's investment processes.

Maintain organization in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of invoices and expense reports. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.

Strong proficiency in accounts payable functions, including coding invoices and processing vendor payments.

Familiarity with automated payment methods such as ACH and check runs.

Experience with Form 1099 preparation and processing.

Ability to work with accounting software, preferably SAP.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Proven ability to handle a high volume of transactions in a growing company environment.

Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
