Job Description:

For more than 150 years, Vulcan has been recognized by chefs and operators throughout the world for its top-quality, energy efficient commercial cooking equipment. Our equipment is found in busy kitchens nationwide; target segments include large chain restaurants, emerging/regional chains, independent restaurants, K-12 schools, grocery and hotels/recreation.

Scope

This position helps with supporting the accounting requirements of our Range, Oven, and Heated Holding departments that are based out of our Baltimore, MD Plant.

Responsibilities

Assist with the monthly financial reporting needs of our Baltimore based Business units

Processes and reviews system inventory backflush transactions

Assists with processing our Accounts Payable transactions

Analyze and post weekly Concur transactions to the GL

Back-up for payment processing for checks, wires/ACH

Calculates and enters monthly journal entries, and reconciles balance sheet accounts

Assists with our physical inventory, and cost roll processes at the Baltimore plant

Assists with reviewing and uploading vendor price changes

Assists with monthly inflation tracking

Perform month-end closing procedures and reporting

Engage in assigned projects focusing on continuous improvement by applying key 80/20, PLS, and USa principles and techniques. Make process improvement efficiency recommendations and drive the use of the ITW toolbox

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration with an emphasis in Accounting required

Minimum 1-3 year accounting experience in related field, audit experience a plus

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Excellent data entry, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Capable of working independently and managing to deadlines

Able to be diversified, to multi-task, and to prioritize

Must be proficient in MS Office Suite with highly advanced Excel skills including the ability to create and edit pivot tables, charts and graphs.

Knowledge of US GAAP reporting and experience in their application

Work Environment

Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for duration of 8 hours

In office, manufacturing plant

Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, some flexibility in set hours allowable

Compensation Information:

$65,120-85,000
