Summary You will serve as a GG-0801-13 General Engineer for COMNAVINTRESCOM in Fort Worth, TX. As the Commander Naval Information Force Reserve (COMNAVIFORES) Staff Engineer within the Logistics Department (N4), you will advise on all aspects of the Site Operations program (real property, construction and sustainment, and restoration & modernization) and may perform some duties as the Assistant to the Deputy, Chief of Staff for Logistics. Responsibilities You will provide technical guidance and assistance both for new construction requirements and for operations, maintenance, and repair of a broad range of existing facilities with a focus on the Joint Reserve Intelligence Centers (JRIC). You will act as the technical Team Leader for military, civilian, or contract program manager personnel assigned under the Site Operations program. You will review construction plans and specifications with emphasis on SCIF/SIPRNet Enclave accreditation and data center requirements, site development, quality of construction, flexibility of space, compliance, and functional layout. You will develop procedures, policies, directives, and engineering feasibility studies applicable to subordinate command elements. You will represent the command at design meetings on major construction projects along with representatives from other agencies or offices involved in the project. You will maintain thorough knowledge of Department of Defense (Intelligence Community), Department of Navy, and higher headquarters policy directives, instructions, Business Management Systems, etc. You will serve as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for any Infrastructure contracts. Absent other means of qualifying under this standard, those applicants who achieved such registration by means other than written test (e.g., State grandfather or eminence provisions) are eligible only for positions that are within or closely related to the specialty field of their registration.
