U.S. Bank is seeking a Software Engineer who will contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives in our digital transformation journey.
This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
The Consumer Digital Servicing team is seeking a senior Front-end React.js Developer to develop the Letters Modernization USBDOCs application. You'll be part of a cross-functional team responsible for the entire software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. As a front-end developer, you should be comfortable with UI and integrate with the backend frameworks, APIs, and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.
Essential Responsibilities:
Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions.
Build the front-end React JS applications through appealing visual design.
Responsible for building a user interface that meets functional and performance expectations and delivers a seamless, responsive user experience.
Collaborate with the business team and/or customers early to understand their business problems and goals.
Expertise in backend API integration, including through understanding of REST API and GraphQL concepts
Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
Set and enforce best practices for architecture, code quality, and development processes within a collaborative, fast-paced Agile environment.
Write technical documentation to help understand how things are done, ensures that the process is consistent, and makes it easier for new team members to get up to speed.
Excellent communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions across teams
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Five to six years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience:
8+ years of IT development/programming/coding professional work experience
6+ years of web app development with expertise in building and scaling applications using Micro Front-end architecture
Expertise in React JS, HTML 5/CSS, JavaScript and other front-end languages and libraries
Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g., Java, C#) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js)
Experience developing REST APIs
Experience working with at least one SQL database (SQL Server, DB2, Cassandra preferred)
Experience with web servers (e.g., Apache, IIS) and UI/UX design
Able to troubleshoot issues with front end and backend problems
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
