Job Description:
Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Product Owner Liaison SME supporting The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). GDIT plays a leading role in managing and modernizing data warehouse infrastructure for the CMS. We architect, implement, modernize, and provide operations support for a large data repository in the cloud.
The desired candidate will be results oriented and able to manage requirements to maintain both an on-premise and Cloud data warehouse at Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT :
Solicit, define, and manage requirements and scope for CMS projects.
Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.
Collect and perform analysis on information from system users to formulate the scope and objectives of the system with moderate supervision.
Interact with internal and external stakeholders including business owners, developers, and scrum team members.
Gather & disseminate project information on a regular basis, documenting team agreements, sprint plans, release plans, and retrospectives.
Create an environment of team spirit and excitement around what is being delivered.
Proactively resolve conflicts and escalate appropriately as needed.
Conduct meetings with clients to gather information needed to complete the team's deliveries.
Delegating tasks on project to scrum team members best positioned to complete them.
Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress.
Work closely with the test team to ensure that the requirements are implemented and tested as they are written.
Create and present presentations to the client as well as other Stakeholders
Apply practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the expected standards.
Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as requirements change.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: BA/BS in a Computer Science or related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
Required Experience: 8+ years of Business Analyst and/or Product Management experience
Required Technical Skills: Experience in soliciting and defining business and system requirements
Security Clearance Level: Requires ability to pass CMS background check and meet the residency requirement for having resided in the US at least (3) three out of the last (5) five years
Required Skills and Abilities: Good customer service and communication skills, to include presenting to all levels of leadership; Must have good problem-solving skills; Prior experience in a CMS environment with Medicare/Medicaid claims and associated data; Experience with the Agile framework
Preferred Skills: Bachelor's degree preferred; Experience with databases and data warehouses; Experience with AWS Cloud computing; Ability to query databases using SQL and/or similar querying languages; Experience with Integrated Data Repository (IDR) project

The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
