Summary: The? Mechanical Design Engineering Intern will provide Mechanical Design support to the Engineering Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties as assigned.

· Think logically and reasonably to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

· Learn basic principles of Mechanical Engineering/Design.

· Assist with project research and preliminary designs and analysis.

· Support preparation of final design plans, provisions and cost estimates.

· Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.

· Understand department needs and seek clarification when needed.

· Work with AutoCAD program.

· Compose Engineering documents regarding design and layouts.

· Take Measurements and create designs.

· Adheres to and enforces safety, food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.

· Reports food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or GED;

Currently attending accredited institution pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering .

Experience in using AutoCAD

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Computer Skills:

Microsoft Office ; Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

While performing the duties of this j ob, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
