Summary You will serve as a Foreign Affairs Specialist in the Office oof the Deputy Under Secretary of the Navy for Policy (DUSN (P)) at the Pentagon. Responsibilities You will lead and manage working groups or task forces on strategy, policy development, and political analysis to ensure DON goals and priorities are integrated into Navy policy. You will coordinate and plan visits, meetings, and briefings with senior Navy leadership, foreign military officials, and other key stakeholders to support diplomatic and military relations. You will prepare and deliver executive summaries, politico-military overviews, and briefing materials that inform senior Navy leadership and guide decision-making on international and security issues. You will develop and maintain effective working relationships with U.S. and foreign military, government, and interagency personnel to promote DON interests and enhance military-to-military contacts. You will conduct research, analyze policy guidance, and provide recommendations that influence U.S. national security activities and DON's international engagement strategies. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience developing policies, plans, and programs associated with security efforts. Experience providing policy recommendations and analysis to government leaders regarding military strategy and policy. Experience preparing executive summaries on strategy, policy and reforms. Experience preparing and delivering briefings to high level government offices regarding U.S. National Security issues.
