Summary You will serve as an Information Security Specialist in the Security Division (C1110), Infrastructure Management Division (1100B), Corporate Operations Department (1100), Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR. Responsibilities You will evaluate multiple alternatives based on specific security needs, resource availability, and cost-effectiveness. You will provide technical security oversight within the Command's Information Security Program, Controlled Unclassified Information Program, Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information Program, Intelligence and other security program functions. You will report violations of Federal law, executive orders DoD and DON directives, regulations and policies. You will interpret and implement security policies, providing guidance to the command, management and other security specialists. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with the classification, declassification, and safeguarding of controlled unclassified information, sensitive and classified information; Experience with security disciplines within shipbuilding functions, internal security operations, contractors, subcontractors, and foreign relations that have a direct impact of ship repair/maintenance production; Experience maintaining security instruction including investigating and reporting security violations or incidents involving classified information; Experience implementing measures to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive and non-sensitive area of a complex industrial operation serving national readiness; Experience utilizing computer hardware/software for the purpose of organizing, collecting data, and safeguarding highly sensitive matters; Experience in oral and written communication across all command levels including leading conversations within meetings, briefings and conferences.
