(3rd Shift) UT Level II Inspector

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a NDT - Ultrasonic Inspector, Nas 410 Level I and Level II (3rd Shift) to perform Testing using specific techniques on aerospace products. Uses knowledge of products, manufacturing processes, equipment set-up, and NDT methods to process parts for inspection following specific operating procedures. Interprets and evaluates test results. This position will also be required to travel to perform setups/calbriations/repairs to UT systems across the Element network.

Salary: $25- $35/hr DOE

Responsibilities

Perform calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications

Accurately record results and associated data of nondestructive tests and evaluations

Maintain familiarity with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being used and exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of Level I technicians.

Maintain a clean and orderly work environment. Actively contribute to company safety culture by observing all company safety policies and procedures

Use caution and proper handling of company property, equipment, tools, and customer product

Maintain a high level of energy to deliver customer parts on time or ahead of schedule.

Skills / Qualifications

High school diploma/GED required

NAS 410 Level 1 or Level 2 experience (or equivalent) with documented evidence of qualification.

Written Communication: ability to read and interpret information, write legibly, take accurate measurements from a tape measure, present numerical data effectively, and edit work for correct spelling and grammar

Self-motivated, with the ability to problem solve and analyze information skillfully

Ability to clearly communicate with team members, supervisors, and all others throughout the organization in a professional manner

Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds

Proficiency using computers (word, & excel)

Sufficient vision, either natural or corrected, with ability to pass annual vision exams
