Summary Supervisory Supply Technician ensures supplies and material are distributed to all areas serviced by Supply Chain Management. Directing, supervising and managing the primary inventory point to receive store and issue supplies and materials. Supervises a team of supply technicians in the distribution area to provide supplies and material to the VA Health Care System. Supervises a team of employees in the distribution service department area at the James A. Haley VA Medical Center in Tampa FL. Responsibilities Include but are not limited to: Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work. Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. Develops and executes staff training. Evaluates work performance of subordinates. Provides advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters. Hears and resolves complaints from employees, group grievances and serious complaints. Initiates minor disciplinary actions. Identifies and develops training needs of employees.
