We are seeking Firmware Engineer(s) I at the Largo, Florida site.
You will be a member of a multi-disciplinary group of System, Hardware and Software Engineers. We are a growing business developing new products in an aggressive and competitive market. The new designs are exciting and technically challenging.

We have openings supporting programs for our US military and various international customers, keeping the world safe from foreign threats. As a Firmware Engineer I , you will be a member of an Integrated Program Team (IPT)) creating complex firmware solutions implemented in Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), System on Chip (SoC), and Complex Programmable Logic Devices (CPLDs). Development activities may also include laboratory integration, test and evaluation, fault isolation of proto@type hardware, and system qualification testing support. This position may require occasional business-related travel.

What You Will Do:
Generate firmware requirements based on the system architecture
Generate firmware documentation that describes the firmware architecture
Design HDL (VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog) based digital logic circuits that are structured and readable
Build test benches to verify/test the HDL based design
Generate constraints for target device (FPGA/SoC/CPLD)
Create scripts to automate build, integration, and test activities.
Verify target device functionality in laboratory environment (multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers)
Qualifications You Must Have:
Requires a Bachelor's degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required ?
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance ?
Qualifications We Prefer:
Curriculum geared towards embedded systems
Previous co-op/internship/projects experience implementing and verifying firmware
Familiarity with C/C++, HLS, or UVM
Familiarity with programmable logic development tools (e.g. ISE, Vivado, Quartus II, Libero, Synplify)
Linux scripting experience (bash shells, make files, Tcl, Python)
Familiarity with source control (e.g. GIT, SVN, ClearCase)

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
