The Administrative Supervisor position is responsible for coordinating the operations and programmatic functions of DCFS Administrative Coordinator 1, 2 and 3. The position provides clerical, programmatic, and administrative support functions for staff, and clients of the Economic Stability. Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Supervisory duties such as direct-line supervision over Administrative Coordinators, responsible for training, orientation, and continued performance over subordinates.
Works with Economic Stability Manager on correlation of work assignments to subordinates and review the operations of the clerical unit to ensure implementation of management decisions.
Drug screening coordination for the office.
Assist with scheduling position interviews and advises applicant of any documents that are needed.
Ensure that all personnel actions are completed timely and submitted when notified by the regional Human Resources liaison.
Maintain record of expenditures for an operation budget.
Independently formulates and completes annual budget request package requesting operative funds for the Tangipahoa Office.
Maintains a state of readiness to respond to disasters.
Performs other duties as assigned for the smooth operation of the Department.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee.
Work Schedule: Typically, work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday. Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for. Some positions require working shifts.
