Description

We are looking for an entry-level AP professional to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis in Rockford, Illinois. In this role, you will contribute to essential accounting processes, including accounts payable and financial reconciliations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting expertise in a meticulous and organized environment.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice reviews and timely payments.

Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Conduct account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records.

Assist with recording and verifying accounting entries in compliance with organizational standards.

Collaborate with team members to support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Monitor financial data for errors, ensuring consistent accuracy and reliability.

Provide support for audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.

Requirements

No to entry level familiarity with accounts payable (AP) processes and procedures.

Understanding of basic accounting entries and principles.

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in financial data.

Proficiency with accounting software and tools preferred.

Good opportunity for a recent graduate or entry level skilled individual looking to expand skill set.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
