In this role, you will lead and develop a team of entry to mid-level professionals and team leaders within Manufacturing Engineering. You will be responsible for setting daily goals, providing technical guidance, and ensuring alignment with specification requirements. By driving continuous improvement, you will play a key role in enhancing product quality, streamlining processes, and reducing costs to support overall business success.
What You Will Do :
Manages team of primarily entry and intermediate professionals or team leaders of Technical/Business Support or Production/ Maintenance employees, with flexibility to determine how assignments are completed (e.g., objectives and approaches to completing work).
Sets day-to-day goals and objectives for team members.
Plans and establishes goals and objectives for a team, with direct impact on the immediate or short-term operational results of the work area.
Apply engineering knowledge and collaborate with other organizations to improve manufacturing operations.
Own all phases of project execution from concept development through deployment and manufacturing.
Communicates with parties within and outside of own department, which may include external customers or vendors.
Explains policies, practices and procedures of the work area to others within the organization. May work to justify and gain cooperation of other parties on practices, policies and procedures.
Plan, prioritize, and manage the performance of multiple engineering projects.
Participate in cross functional teams to ensure effective deployment to live production.
Prioritize tasks to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that deadlines are met.
Maintain current knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies and develop related project proposals.
Effectively communicates with operations and technical leadership on department metrics, proposals and active projects upon its closure.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written)

Qualifications We Prefer
Previous experience of managing professional and technical resources.
Bachelors in sciences, Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
Background in Manufacturing and Testing Support in a low volume high-mix factory.
Experience with metal joining processes such as welding and brazing.
Programming protocols experience.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve issues and mitigate risks.
The ability to remain focused under pressure to assess and resolve challenges.?
5+ years of experience as an Mechanical, Electrical or manufacturing engineer.
Background in Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing environment.
Deep knowledge in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
