We are seeking a strategic and visionary Director of Product Marketing to lead product marketing for UKG Ready. In this role, you will own the upstream product marketing strategy - defining positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies that differentiate UKG Ready in a competitive market. You will partner closely with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure our offerings are compelling, well-understood, and aligned with customer needs.
You will lead a high-performing team of product marketers and work alongside a Manager of Product Marketing to drive impactful market insights, segment strategies, competitive analysis, and product launch excellence. This is a leadership role focused on building market-driven strategies - not just creating content - so we can win and grow in our target markets.
Key Responsibilities
Market Strategy & Positioning
o Define the market strategy for UKG Ready, including target segments, buyer personas, arche@types, and competitive differentiation.
o Develop precise, compelling product positioning and messaging that resonates with key audiences and reinforces the UKG brand.
Go-to-Market Leadership
o Lead strategic product launches from planning through execution, ensuring cross-functional alignment and measurable impact.
o Partner with Sales and Demand Generation to create effective sales enablement strategies, playbooks, and market narratives.
Market Intelligence
o Lead market and competitive intelligence initiatives to inform product strategy and sales positioning.
o Translate insights into actionable recommendations for Product, Sales, and Executive leadership.
Team Leadership & Development
o Manage and grow a team of product marketers, fostering a culture of collaboration, strategic thinking, and excellence.
o Mentor team members in upstream marketing skills such as market analysis, messaging frameworks, and strategic planning.
Collaboration & Influence
o Work closely with Product Management to align product roadmaps with market opportunities.
o Serve as a key voice in the leadership team to ensure market perspective drives decision-making.
Qualifications
10+ years in product marketing or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
Proven track record of building and executing upstream product marketing strategies in a B2B SaaS environment.
Strong background in market segmentation, competitive positioning, and go-to-market strategy.
Exceptional leadership skills, with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
Excellent storytelling, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to influence at all levels of an organization, including executive leadership.
HR technology or workforce management experience is a plus, but not required.

The pay range for this position is $159,900 to $229,800, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
