Summary You will serve as a FFAECC SCHEDULER in the Fleet Area Control and Surveillance Facility Virginia Capes of FACSFAC VACAPES. Responsibilities You will provide support to FFAECC in the development, coordination, planning, and execution of highly specialized training exercises by providing detailed briefs in complex Range administrative policies and regulations. You will identify and implement plans of action to meet the requirements of the task or action and assist in the planning, coordination, and organization of large-scale Range projects. You will assist in the development of internal administrative guidelines, processes, and procedures for use in improving and standardizing Range operational functions. You will provide briefings to customers to ensure compliance with operating area/range guidelines, restrictions, and safety instructions. You will provide real-time communication, technical support for scheduling, exercise conferences and assist in the oversight of ongoing/planned operations, training, and contingencies. You will coordinate and prioritize all requests for ranges, assets, airspace, targets and services, Surface Operating Areas (SOAs), Special Use Airspace and Altitude Reservation. You will resolve scheduling conflicts among Fleet users and provide support to Staff personnel during major training exercises. You will attend and provide technical support to Fleet Scheduling Syndicates and quarterly scheduling conferences. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience and knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations required to coordinate assets involved in Fleet training exercises and Fleet operations with regard to air and water space management. Experience in applying safety regulations and procedures required for issuance of Notice to Mariners/Airmen (NOTMAR/NOTAM). Experience in and possess operational knowledge of Flight Information Publication (FLIP) planning publications is required. Experienced subject matter expert for respective task requirements (e.g. Academics, Warfare Area(s), Program or Policy support). Experience managing/ prioritizing large, complex projects involving numerous stakeholders. Experience as Team and/or project leaders. Experience leading working groups and cross-functional teams. Experience leveraging best practices and handling multiple tasks and interruptions with minimal impact on productivity/deliverables. Experience engaging Senior Staff at the Flag Officer/Director/Manager level. Experience conducting fleet training analysis/assessment to identify gaps, training needs and solutions. Experience with Navy training operations, policy, doctrine, systems, and staff procedures. Experience managing/ prioritizing, projects involving stakeholders. Experience leveraging best practices and handling multiple tasks and interruptions with minimal impact on productivity/deliverables. Experience conducting fleet training analysis/assessment to identify gaps, training needs and solutions. Experience in administrative management and advanced concepts involving Range operations. Experience in practical application of safety regulations and procedures required for issuance of Notice to Mariners/Airmen (NOTAM/NOTMAR).
