Job purpose:

The Process Engineer position will develop and monitor procedures to improve product throughput and to conduct a wide range of engineering related functions using general engineering principles.

Duties and responsibilities:

Lead new equipment and new process development for multiple areas within the plant.

Act as leader for Project Management and New Product Introduction.

Technical resource for automation equipment, machining, welding, and stator / motor assembly operations including electrical testing and diagnostics.

Create and maintain process documentation required for various processes.

Provide technical support for daily operations.

Play a significant role in manufacturing process implementation - improving safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in engineering or engineering technology, or relevant experience.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing process development

Ability to manage multiple projects of implementing new equipment and new processes from start to finish.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with all departments.

Self-motivated 'multi-tasker' that requires minimal supervision.

Experience in lean manufacturing.

Experience with Microsoft Office.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field preferred. Equivalent experience may also be considered

Working Conditions:

Standard work week is Monday through Friday, hours to be consistent with business unit; some off hours work may be expected.

Generally working in office with activities in the production environment.

Physical requirements:

Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.

Standing, sitting and/or working at a computer for extended periods of time.
