You will serve as a PLASTIC FABRICATOR TRAINING LEADER in the RESOURCES DEPT TRAINING and ADMINISTRATION, OPERATIONS MANAGER DIVISION (Code 900T.2) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Duties
Help
You will conduct classroom trade skill instruction for trade personnel using various instructional methods and techniques to achieve training objectives.
You will develop and revise course plans for updating, improving or upgrading the knowledge and skills of shop personnel.
You will prepare lesson plans, visual aids, handouts, and obtain necessary related materials to accomplish the objectives of the trade training courses.
You will conduct formal instruction on skilled workmanship abilities, develop good work habits, proper safety precautions, proper radiological and quality control practices.
You will develop and administer quizzes and informal examinations to test progress of the class, grade written, practical and oral exams, and maintain a record of each workers performance.
You will be responsible for maintaining records and reports to meet the requirements of the particular instructions involved.
You will encourage good class attendance and conduct and motivate other workers to achieve the objectives of the training session.
You will offer counsel and guidance to those striving to improve performance in the training course.
You will evaluate the progress of workers in terms of such factors as interest, cooperation, theory and practical applicant of work methods.
You will be involved in the research and development of tools, equipment, and procedures to best accomplish the task, as related to that specific course.
You will discuss with code or shop management and training personnel, problems and other issues concerning the training of personnel and report disciplinary problems to shop supervision.

This is a bargaining unit position.
You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
This position requires exposure to high noise levels.
