Sodexo is seeking a strong Food Service Operations Manager 1 for the United States Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton located in Oceanside, CA. The Operations Manager will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of all culinary operations for one of it's Mess Halls.
What You'll Do
Have 3-5 years operational management experience in a high-volume food service dining environment.
Be a people person with a strong focus with maintaining positive client relations ; a solid manager/leader who is perceptive and has attention to details that make a difference - quality and presentation of food - customer service -
Be SERVICE focused- including providing excellent customer service in a welcoming dining environment.
Be proficient in use of online Food Management Systems for menu/recipe planning, ordering and inventory;
Demonstrate proven financial acumen/success: Food costs/ labor costs, budgets.

What You Bring
have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement and leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;?
have a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;?
have high volume food service experience;
have contract food service experience, preferred ;
have experience managing staff in a union environment, preferred ;
have food service experience in a high-end establishment, preferred ;
can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and have a passion for a high level of customer service;?and/or
prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degreeor equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
