Choice Hotels, one of the world's largest hotel companies, is seeking a dynamic and strategic finance leader to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team as Director of Corporate FP&A.
As a key partner to our executive team, you'll lead financial strategy and influence enterprise level financial decisions, hack our planning processes, and drive impactful analysis across the organization.
In this high-exposure/high-impact role, you'll be responsible for leading the entire corporate FP&A team, partnering directly with executive leadership and functional FP&A business partners. You will transform our financial planning process and drive mission-critical financial strategy decisions at the highest levels of the company. In addition, you will be trusted with infusing the use of artificial intelligence across FP&A. Your Responsibilities
Corporate Strategic Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead the company's annual budget process, quarterly reforecasts, and multi-year strategic financial planning.
Manage company-wide planning guidance, timelines, and stakeholder engagement.
Maintain and continuously evolve robust financial models (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
Management Reporting & Executive Decision Support
Deliver accurate and insightful monthly dashboards for the executive team, corporate strategy and the board.
Walk the CEO and CFO through investment options to guide resource allocation and financial strategy decisions.
Proactively identify risks and opportunities in financial performance and recommend actions.
Process Improvement & Systems Optimization
Transform FP&A processes. Be bold and make big changes that will benefit the entire company.
Leverage tools and artificial intelligence (AI) so FP&A can spend more time on strategic analysis and less on manual tasks.
Cross-Functional Leadership, Business Partnering & Influencing
Lead the support functions FP&A business partnering (e.g. Legal, Finance, HR), underwriting and approving investment.
Serve as the go-to FP&A team for Investor Relations to translate financial performance into narratives.
Act as the liaison between FP&A and Accounting, Tax, Treasury and Compensation on key financial decisions.
Special projects
Lead fascinating ad-hoc financial analysis strategies - e.g. M&A synergies offices, underwriting company-wide organizational restructurings, etc.
Team Development & Leadership
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of analysts to senior managers.
Your Experience, Skills & Competencies
8+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, FP&A business partnering, consulting or strategic finance roles.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Data Analytics or equivalent experience.
At least 3-5 years of experience in team leadership, with a proven ability to coach and develop talent.
Exceptional planning skills - the ability to implement best-in-class processes is absolutely missing critical for the role.
Strong project management skills and exceptional organization skills.
Deep expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, variance analysis.
Curiosity around AI and pioneering behavior when it comes to leveraging systems and tools to hack FP&A processes.
Executive presence and the ability to influence C-level stakeholders.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills; clear, concise, and data-driven.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Experience in hospitality industry is a plus given the strategic nature of the role.
Proficiency with Oracle Fusion EPBCS is a plus.
Your Team
This is a leadership role that will have a team of about 3-4 associates and collaborate with cross functional departments on a regular basis.
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $160,546 to $188,641 annually. In addition to the annual salary, this role is eligible for an annual bonus based on the terms of Choice's Management Incentive Plan (MIP).
The pay range listed is for this position and is what Choice Hotels reasonably expects to pay. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
