Key Areas of Focus

Accounts Payable Cycle Management: Ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments.

General Ledger Accounting: Preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting month-end close.

Fixed Assets & Inventory Reporting: Maintaining accurate records and reconciliations for physical and financial assets.

Sales Tax Filing & Compliance: Preparing and submitting tax reports and ensuring regulatory compliance.

ERP System Utilization: Leveraging QAD or similar systems for financial data management and reporting.

Financial Statement Support: Assisting in segment reporting and analysis of operating expenses and COGS.

Daily Responsibilities

Process and code invoices, research GL details, and manage AP transactions.

Prepare monthly closing schedules, journal entries, and reconciliation statements.

Maintain fixed asset and inventory reports.

File and reconcile sales tax reports.

Generate ad hoc financial reports as needed.

Scope: Supports multiple departments including operations, supply chain, and finance.

Size: High-volume transaction environment, likely interfacing with hundreds of invoices and multiple asset categories monthly.

Strategic Impact: Accurate financial reporting and compliance directly affect audit readiness, cost control, and strategic decision-making. This role is foundational to maintaining financial health and operational accountability.

Must-Have Experience

5+ years in general ledger accounting and accounts payable.

Experience in manufacturing or cost accounting environments.

Proficiency in ERP systems (QAD preferred) and Microsoft Excel.

Strong understanding of financial statements and segment reporting.

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
