Job Title: Electrical Analysis Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with a strong background in design analysis to support our cutting-edge eVTOL (electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing) program. This role focuses on component-level analysis rather than hands-on design, making it ideal for engineers who excel in reviewing and validating electrical designs through simulation and spreadsheet-based methodologies.

Responsibilities

Perform derate analysis on LRU (Line Replaceable Unit) designs against Bill of Materials (BOMs).

Analyze electrical components including resistors, capacitors, diodes, and other COTS parts using datasheet specifications.

Utilize Excel spreadsheets with built-in equations to conduct and document analysis.

Collaborate with a small team of engineers to review and validate design spreadsheets for multiple custom board designs.

Apply LTSPICE, MATLAB, and other simulation tools to verify electrical performance and reliability.

Support EMI/EMC and power modeling efforts using Ansys.

Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on electrical robustness and compliance.

Interface with design teams using Altium (Altium expertise not required).

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Strong understanding of core EE principles, especially in circuit analysis and component behavior.

Experience with LTSPICE, MATLAB, and Excel-based analysis tools.

Ability to interpret datasheets and apply derating principles to COTS components.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and documentation skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Familiarity with Ansys for EMI/EMC and power modeling is a plus.

Prior experience in aerospace, automotive, or high-reliability electronics is preferred.

Work Environment

This role is analysis-heavy with minimal design work. Ideal candidates will have a passion for reviewing and validating designs rather than creating them from scratch. You'll be working on custom board-level designs critical to the success of our eVTOL systems.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $140000.00/hr.
