Engineering Supervisor
We are looking for an Engineering Supervisor to join our Target Rock team!
As Engineering Supervisor, you will manage and coordinate the work of highly skilled Project Engineers (including Senior Engineers). Ensures the timely completion of project software releases. Responsible for providing accurate interpretations of applicable specifications, drawings, and contract requirements. Ensures customers are apprised of activities within the Defense and Non-Nuclear Valve Engineering Group as appropriate. Responsible for ensuring Defense and Non-Nuclear Valve Project Engineering remains within budgets. Supervises day-to-day Engineering functions and coordinates the use of the Defense and Non-Nuclear Valve Project Engineering resources. Responsible for planning, purchasing, manufacturing, quality, contracts, programs, and assembly support, as required, including proposals needing engineering inputs, engineering changes (ECOs), vendor support, quality audits and corrective action boards, and dispositioning of non-conforming hardware.
Location: East Farmingdale, NY
Salary: $105,000 to $125,000

Your Challenge
Manages and coordinates the activities of Defense and Non-Nuclear Valve Project Engineers and Senior Engineers
Ensure timely support of contracts, programs, planning, purchasing, manufacturing, quality, assembly, as required
Ensures adequate review of specifications for compliance with proposed design/contracted deliverable
Responsible for ensuring all contract requirements are adequately captured on the Bill of Materials (BOM) via the Item Master
Ensures adequate preparation of drawings and procedures
Ensure on time release of design drawings and applicable procedures
Oversee preparation of design and qualification reports
Oversee direction of qualification test programs
Ensure Non-Defense Nuclear Project Engineers/Senior Engineers provide accurate interpretation of applicable specifications and codes
Ensures timely resolution of assembly and test problems
Manages Defense and Non-Nuclear Valve Project Engineering Budgets
Coordinates Quality Assurance/ Defense and Non-Nuclear Valve Engineering interaction in relation to project requirements and product design/manufacture
Ensures Engineering Ordering Specifications (EOS) and Procurement Specifications (PRS) are adequately prepared ensuring all technical requirements are sufficiently passed to suppliers
When applicable, provide certification that delivered product satisfies specification and purchase order requirements
Primary technical interface with customers and suppliers on materials and processing issues
Ensures adequate tracking of customer submittals is properly maintained
Additional responsibilities as assigned by Director of Engineering
What You Bring
Must be a US citizen
Four (4) year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Nuclear)
Professional Engineering Registration and/or advanced degree in Engineering (preferred)
Operational knowledge and/or Power Plant Systems Training
Product application
Knowledge of products and industry requirements
Fifteen (15) years of valve and/or power plant experience
Working knowledge of applicable specifications and codes
Strong Management and development skills to oversee and guide the technical activities of the department
Working knowledge of applicable customer specifications/codes and Target Rock products and services
Able to interface with demanding customers and provide customer confidence in TR products and organization
Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite
