Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Fountain Inn, South Carolina. In this contract position, you will play a key role in managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of accounts payable processes. Responsibilities:

Process and verify invoices to ensure accurate coding and timely payment.

Manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs to maintain smooth cash flow operations.

Reconcile purchase orders with invoices to ensure proper documentation and compliance.

Utilize accounting software, such as Prophet 21, to efficiently track and record financial data.

Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and address payment inquiries.

Prepare regular reports on accounts payable activities and provide insights for process improvements.

Maintain organized financial records and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Support month-end closing activities by providing necessary documentation and reconciliations.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

Proficiency in coding invoices and handling ACH payments.

Familiarity with check runs and purchase order reconciliation processes.

Experience using accounting software, preferably Prophet 21.

Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and data analysis.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of industry standards and compliance regulations in accounts payable.
