Acetylene Plant Operator

Our client, a leading player in the industrial sector, is seeking an Acetylene Plant Operator to join their team. As an Acetylene Plant Operator, you will be part of a dedicated team supporting the safe and efficient operations of the Acetylene Plant. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, good communication abilities, and a mechanical aptitude that will align successfully with the organization.

Job Title: Acetylene Plant Operator

Location: Boise, ID

Pay Range: $18.00/hr

Shift: 4am - 1pm or 8am - 5pm

What's the Job?

Responsible for the safe start-up and shut-down of the plant at the beginning or end of the day.

Operate and monitor plant operations, recording required information on logs at specified intervals.

Safely fill hydrogen, Chemtane, and propane cylinders according to established procedures.

Respond to alarms, assess problems, and initiate appropriate corrective actions.

Perform visual inspections on cylinders and ensure proper filling and labeling procedures are followed.

What's Needed?

High school graduate or equivalent.

Ability to perform basic mathematics calculations.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Mechanical aptitude and previous knowledge of cylinders and gases.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
