Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Anderson, South Carolina. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, and supporting financial reporting efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles to make a meaningful contribution.

Responsibilities:

Manage financial records by handling accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.

Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate calculations of salaries, deductions, and tax withholdings.

Generate payroll-related reports, including tax filings and year-end documentation, while addressing employee inquiries.

Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights to improve business operations.

Assist in the creation of budgets and forecasts, offering valuable financial input.

Ensure compliance with accounting policies, tax laws, and payroll regulations.

Utilize accounting software, such as QuickBooks, to streamline bookkeeping and invoicing tasks.

Process invoices and manage data entry to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.

Collaborate with team members to address financial discrepancies and improve processes. Requirements - A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, including bookkeeping, tax preparation, or payroll services.

Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks and the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, payroll procedures, and applicable tax regulations.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

Effective organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and clients.

Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice processing is highly preferred.
