SPT Labtech is growing - and we're looking for a dynamic Sales Specialist - Structural Biology to help us expand within the fast-growing US Structural Biology market. This is a high-impact role where you'll play a key part in delivering cutting-edge automated liquid handling solutions to researchers driving discoveries across Structural Biology.

We're seeking a highly organized and proactive sales professional with a strong background in Life Sciences and a solid understanding of the Structural Biology product market. Your key responsibilities will include:

Promotion, market development and sales of SPT Labtech's liquid handling product lines into the structural biology, protein crystallography and Cryo-EM domain across the United States.

Managing every pre-sale activity until purchasing order and supporting post sales activities.

Work with existing Territory Managers and applications teams to support all sales related facets of strategic alignment, relationship management, sales process and engagement in Structural Biology.

Work with the product management, sales and marketing teams to drive instrument and consumable adoption of SPT products in the broader structural biology market.

Scheduling and conducting product presentations and demonstrations to customers.

Achieving the 10 missions listed below:

Knowing how to present the company, its history, its culture, its strategy, and all associated skills.

Effectively managing our "customer" database, proposing a global strategy based on quantifiable objectives and the means to achieve them.

Organizing work time according to the priorities defined to achieve own goals and those defined by the company.

Respecting and knowing how to implement the priorities of the company (products/strategy) and those markets covered.

Ensuring the development and follow-up of all opportunities by being able to build a balance between different product lines to sell and to manage an efficient sales collaboration with product specialists.

Building a consultative relationship and becoming a trusted advisor with our customers by a structured commercial approach based above all on the accumulation of information to propose the most adequate solution for their business.

Knowing how to position SPT solutions in relation to end-user's workflows and explaining above all the benefits of the proposed solutions by using all the available communication tools (website, brochure, Slide deck, Application notes, Videos,).

Having a perfect command of the products and Services programs and knowing how to propose a global solution by cross selling our product range.

Ensuring that application knowledge is maintained at an optimal level by relying on the support functions (training, binomial tour, e-Learning).

Being responsible for CRM data and Management.

Skills & Attributes

You'll ideally be located in the US to contribute to the smooth running of our sales and business operations with an established network.

Undergraduate qualification in a Biology/Chemistry/Physics related subject, A PhD qualification in a field relevant to Structural Biology is strongly preferred, although equivalent experience will be considered.

Significant Protein Crystallography and/or Cryo-EM domain knowledge and a keen awareness of current trends in the field.

Good understanding and hands-on experience of protein sample preparation and structure determination workflows.

A good grounding in commercial and business principles, ideally with proven experience in a capital equipment sales role in the Life Sciences Market.

Ability to conduct presentations in front of varying audiences.

Familiar with CRM use as a central sales tool. Experience with Salesforce would be desirable.

Autonomous, team player and capable of working remotely.

Excited by the significant travel (up to 50%) in the US and based near a convenient travel hub.
