Job Title: Supply Chain Coordinator

Job Description

This role involves receiving and scheduling all delivery orders and requests from customers, requiring discretion and independent judgment when handling customer requests, schedules, and dispatch information. The coordinator will be responsible for entering all orders into the computer for dispatch, especially those requiring specialized training, experience, or knowledge of the transportation industry.

Responsibilities

Ensure rail billing is in place before containers are delivered to the railroad and validate in-bond documentation with US customs as necessary.

Verify bookings are released at depots for export moves and trace import containers on the rail to confirm delivery by the last free day.

Prepare customer reports and tracking/tracing, including divisional pool, MDR, CNI, Daily Activity, and Dispatch Status.

Notify Cargo Specialist Supervisor/management of all service failures.

Propose and implement solutions to improve overall customer service.

Create and update location profiles in the computer system.

Work as a dispatcher as volume and vacation schedules dictate.

Handle other projects as assigned by management.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in customer service and dispatch.

Experience with Excel databases and scheduling coordination.

Ability to communicate customer delivery needs and appointment dates/times.

Capability to quote rates to customers and relate service requirements.

Proficient in customer support, service, and order entry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong data entry skills.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Proficiency in email and general office duties.

Innovative mindset.

Experience with port and rail operations, as well as US customs.

Knowledge of the trucking industry.

Work Environment

Work onsite in a corporate environment in a cubical setting, offering lots of growth opportunities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Collierville, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $28.85/hr.
