We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Buyer to manage the purchasing of materials, components, equipment, and services to meet our operational requirements. This role is crucial in implementing sourcing strategies that reduce costs, improve quality, and mitigate supply chain risks.

Responsibilities

Manage the purchasing of materials, components, equipment, and services to meet operational requirements.

Implement sourcing strategies that reduce costs, improve quality, and mitigate supply chain risk.

Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships to ensure long-term reliability and innovation.

Participate in supplier performance evaluations and corrective action initiatives when needed.

Negotiate pricing, and delivery schedules to achieve optimal value.

Monitor inventory levels to ensure material availability and optimum stock levels.

Coordinate with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to optimize delivery schedules and reduce lead times.

Support international shipments, customs compliance, and freight coordination.

Partner with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Finance teams to align purchasing decisions with business priorities.

Assist in resolving quality or supply issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Maintain accurate purchasing records and present reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics.

Essential Skills

Experience with purchase orders and procurement processes.

Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly SAP.

Strong understanding of supply chain management.

Buying and vendor management experience.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

AAS or Bachelor's Degree OR 2+ years of relevant experience.

Knowledge of SAP is a must.

International buying experience is advantageous.

Experience with purchase order processing.

Work Environment

This position requires onsite work. The role involves collaboration with various departments and adherence to company policies and industry standards. The Buyer will report directly to the relevant department head.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blaine, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
