Robert Half Legal is proud to partner with a highly esteemed midsize personal injury firm in their search for a skilled Litigation Legal Secretary. This is a full-time and on-site opportunity located in El Segundo, California, with the potential for conversion to a permanent role following the contract period. If you're a polished and professional legal secretary with a passion for supporting litigation teams in a fast-paced environment, this could be the role for you!

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct administrative support to attorneys specializing in personal injury litigation.

Prepare, edit, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and correspondence.

Manage court filings, including e-filing with state and federal courts.

Maintain and organize client files, physical and electronic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

Schedule and calendar hearings, depositions, deadlines, and other case-related events.

Perform client communication and liaison duties, including intake calls and correspondence.

Assist in trial preparation, including assembling exhibits, trial binders, and support documents.

Handle general administrative tasks such as timekeeping, expense reports, and office supply maintenance.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Experience: 3+ years of experience as a legal secretary in a litigation-focused practice area, preferably in personal injury law.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of legal software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, legal calendaring systems) and familiarity with e-filing processes in California courts.

Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities under tight deadlines.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to professionally correspond with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel.

Work Ethic: A proactive, team-oriented mindset, with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
