Rite-Solutions, Inc is seeking a Network Architect Lead to support full-time in a remote capacity , but within the DC metro area to support on-site meetings when required. You will serve as the Network Architecture Lead for the SSN(X) Program reportable to the Ship Design Manager. You will define requirements, evaluate options, and lead the establishment of a cross domain, collaborative design environment enabling efficient and coordinated execution of SSN(X) acquisition and engineering activities across a range of public, private, and university-affiliated organizations.
Primary Responsibilities :
Work closely with members of the SSN(X) Program Office and partner organizations to identify and scope applicable SSN(X) acquisition, design, and lifecycle sustainment use cases and derived network and data infrastructure requirements.
Generate implementation schedules, develop notional funding profiles, and identify staffing needs to build and sustain a collaborative design environment aligned to expected use cases over the SSN(X) lifecycle.
Act as the primary SSN(X) Program point of contact for Technical Exchange Meetings (TEM) with the Government network solution architects, Cloud Service Providers (CSP), cloud brokers, and applicable technical leads at partner organizations in support of network architecture planning, development, implementation, and sustainment.
Engage with partner organizations' Information Technology (IT) departments to identify, manage, and overcome potential challenges and constraints currently inhibiting cross-organizational collaboration at various classifications and security designations.
Evaluate CSP-developed architecture diagrams and calculated solutions to perform cost-benefit analyses and viability assessments against SSN(X) network requirements.
Develop comprehensive understanding of applicable cybersecurity controls for the environment and become a cybersecurity advocate within the SSN(X) Program Office in concert with the SSN(X) Platform Cybersecurity System Integration Team (SIT) Lead.
Lead efforts to acquire and maintain an Authority to Operate (ATO) for the network solution.
Lead in the management and administration of the design environment and supporting network infrastructure, including access and permission controls for identified user base and development and active monitoring of applicable Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
Ensure proper identification, marking, classification, and control of all data to be hosted within the environment.
Regularly collaborate with other areas of the SSN(X) Program Office and partner organizations to determine appropriate benchmarks and continually re-assess whether program objectives are being satisfied through the deployment and implementation of the networked solution.
Prepare and deliver detailed updates, technical briefs, and other correspondence to program office leadership and partner organization representatives.
Position Requirements:
U. S. Citizenship and an active Department of Defense secret security clearance
Desired Experience:
Engineering, Computer Scientist, or Information Technology (IT) Professional with 10+ years' experience in cloud computing, network architecture
Application Programming Interface (API) development, cybersecurity, and/or enterprise-scale digital transformation
Cloud and/or cybersecurity certifications strongly desired
Familiarity with submarine acquisition, design, and lifecycle sustainment preferred, but not required .
