Summary You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER in the TECHNICAL DIVISION (SP20), MISSILE BRANCH (SP27) of STRATEGIC SYSTEMS PROGRAMS. Responsibilities You will serve as a Senior Engineer, Engineering Manager, or Lead Engineer in an assigned program area. You will provide scientific, technical, and professional engineering guidance, and acquisition advice on all aspects of the assigned program area. You will maintain technical expertise through continuing professional education and training, symposiums. You will plan for all aspects of design, development, and test and evaluation for the assigned program area. You will plan for all related support for the assigned program area, taking into account the extremely complicated equipment, software, and documentation. You will provide required data in the assigned program area to the pertinent business managers in support of any actions to justify and defend all programs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In addition to the basic education requirement, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following as an engineer in system engineering and/or system integrations efforts covering multiple engineering disciplines, providing technical leadership and guidance for engineering projects. Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position is part of the Navy Nuclear Deterrent Mission. Relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. This position has a control point; thus, the salary range may be capped at GS-15, step 05, which is equivalent to $195,200. If your current salary is above this amount, your salary may be matched.
