What Makes This Role Significant:

This position is responsible for specialized procurement of equipment, materials, services, and Staff Augmentation Personnel to support plant operations. The position requires a sound knowledge of procurement procedures and specific technical knowledge of the commodity or service being procured.

What You Will Be Doing:

Reviews and evaluates requisitions and purchase data packages for proper authorization

Reviews and evaluates Engineering drawings, design specifications, material specifications and quality control specifications

Manages supplier relationships in accordance with the terms and conditions of the agreement

Knowledge of cost and price analysis techniques and negotiation strategies for various @types of contracts, including fixed-price and time and material

Performs comparative analysis of quotations to determine the best value offer

Collaborates with line organizations in evaluating quo

Determines and documents appropriateness and fairness of offer in single-source and no-bid procurements

Plans, solicits, awards, and administers subcontracts in accordance with established policies and procedures

Obtains, completes, and maintains Vendor Registration database

We'd Love to Hear from Candidates With:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Five years of experience in procurement

Ability to obtain and maintain a Q clearance

Stronger Candidates Have:

Working knowledge and experience with ORACLE and SharePoint modules

Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communications

Working knowledge of government regulatory acquisition requirements (DEAR, FAR)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)

This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.

"This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Candidates for positions requiring a security clearance are required to be tested for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR 707.4 prior to an offer of employment being made. In addition, once employed, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This position will require a preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required."
