Job Description

Assists Physical Therapists/Occupational Therapists with patient care and clerical support in outpatient rehabilitation.

Job Responsibility

Assists Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists with patient bed mobility/transfers/ambulation and exercises to provide assistance to patients as required by the Therapists.

Assists PTs/OTs with patient instruction of activities of daily living.

Prepares hot packs, cold packs, and other treatment protocols under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapists/Occupational Therapists.

Measures/adjusts walkers/canes/ crutches for patients.

Greets patients in the waiting area and escorts them into the therapy area as necessary.
Maintains the therapy outpatient area: disinfects equipment, maintains linen supplies, changes linens on treatment tables following each patient use

Maintains equipment including, but not limited to, unpacking and stocking closets with equipment, i.e canes and crutches.
Clerical duties include, but are not limited to: answer and direct calls, take messages, retrieve voice mail.

Performs other clerical duties as directed by the Clinical Manager/Supervisor e.g. photocopying, mail rounds etc.

Performs related duties, as required.

Job Qualification

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

Experience in physical therapy, preferred.

Knowledge of assistive devices for ambulation, patient transfer equipment (wheelchair and stretcher functions and safety), hydrocollator and CPM, required.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).

The salary range for this position is $28.00-$30.36/hour
