The Director, Alliance Strategy & Analysis will lead the strategy and analysis team within the Alliances organization, driving proactive, data-informed decision-making and transforming the team from reactive to strategic. By building analytical capabilities and streamlining daily operations, you'll support senior leadership-including the SVP of Alliances-in shaping long-term global alliance strategy and ensuring performance accountability.
What you'll do
Lead the strategy and analysis function for the Alliances team, delivering thought leadership and analytical rigor to support strategic decision-making.
Manage a high-performing team responsible for forward- and backward-looking strategic analysis, revenue modeling, and performance tracking.
Design and implement analytical tools, frameworks, and reports to guide alliance strategy, including joint business agreements, transfer payments, and FFP revenue optimization.
Provide proactive analytical support to the SVP of Alliances to shape long-term strategy and drive sustainable growth.
Oversee performance reporting to ensure accountability across alliance partnerships and inform executive leadership on key insights and recommendations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align alliance strategies with broader commercial and corporate objectives.
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in strategy, finance, or analytics, preferably within the airline or travel industry.
7 years of leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional projects.
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.
Experience working with airline alliances, joint ventures, or loyalty programs.
Familiarity with airline revenue management, network planning, or commercial strategy.
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
Demonstrates the highest standards of ethics and integrity
Ability to think strategically, negotiate skillfully, digest complex details, and use sound judgment and initiative in making decisions
Extensive experience in financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting, including advanced Excel skills
Demonstrated ability to solve, and to lead others in solving, complex analytical problems
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing, and complex environment
Impeccable project planning and organizational skills, with ability to effectively and simultaneously manage multiple large projects within tight deadlines and maintain attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively and clearly communicate a strategic and tactical vision to all levels within the organization, as well as with external agencies and business partners
Excellent presentation skills, with ability to handle complex topics comfortably
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) a plus
