Performance Driven Workforce is now hiring a Full Time Lead Automotive Mechanic for an Automotive Tier 1 Supplier to modify cars and trucks in a proto@type environment, performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. This role will perform independent project tasks, collaborate with customers, and team members and assist with team management. This Full Time Lead Mechanic position is based out of Fountain, CO. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain vehicle functional condition by working off repair orders or leader instructions and conducting inspections

Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components

Read, interpret, and follow service procedures

Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair orders

Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs

Assist in leading and managing team members including providing guidance and training

Delegate tasks and assignments, monitor progress, and check quality

Interact and communicate with internal and external customers to resolve issues

Assist in leading daily shop organization and clean-up

Pay:

$25.00 - $35.00/hr. (Depending on experience)

Shift Times:

AM Day Shift: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (Monday - Friday)

Must be able to work overtime as needed

Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age or older

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver's license and a good driving record

A minimum of 2 years of well-rounded mechanical work experience

Strong knowledge of electrical systems and wiring diagrams along with electrical repairs

Knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment

Possess own tools with rolling toolbox

Must have Digital Volt Ohm Meter (DVOM) and basic power tools

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to stand, sit, talk, and hear, use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone in an office environment

Must be able to frequently stand, walk, or sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and to regularly reach with hands and arms

Must have good organizational skills

Must have good attention to detail

Must be able to read, comprehend & execute written procedures

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Good oral and written communication skills

Must have good attendance record

Preferred Skills:

Certificate in Automotive Technology or related

National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification(s)

State Mechanic Certification(s)

Knowledge of vehicle alignments, air conditioning (A/C) system repairs, tire machines and balancers
