Job Description
To coordinate and lead a network of campus and external services to mitigate issues of homelessness, hunger, health, child care and housing affecting Minneapolis College students.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage and increase college and community referral support system to assess and help students eliminate barriers interfering with college persistence in order to increase student retention
Manage an effective "triage" intake system to ensure that students in crisis are appropriately referred to campus/community-based resources and services in order to increase student retention and success.
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner.
Perform unit planning and other duties as assigned.
Salary Range:
$23.63 - $34.18 hourly / $49,339 - $71,368 annually
Minimum Qualifications
Experience with assessing student/individual needs and developing/referring to appropriate services to align identified needs. Ability to use database management skills and date entry to develop and maintain databases, retrieve information, and maintain accurate budget records and reports.
Sufficient knowledge of and experience in field of social services, social work, human services, childcare, education or closely related field.
Knowledge of social service philosophy, policy, and practices
Knowledge of post-secondary education
Ability to work independently or with little direction
Demonstrates an ongoing understanding of cultural fluency. Incorporates culturally responsive practices, and actively engages in antiracism professional development learning opportunities.
Other Requirements
Current and former employees must be in good standing with Minneapolis College to be considered for the position.
Work Shift (Hours / Days of work)
Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. One designated day per week will follow an adjusted schedule of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Telework (Yes/No)
This position is eligible for telework per Minneapolis College guidelines.
